Meadowbrook Stories is a small Australian business run by Wayne Ulrich, selling illustrated picture books as digital downloads at meadowbrookstories.com. We care about your privacy as much as we care about our stories, so this page explains, in plain words, what information we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you buy a book, we collect what we need to complete your order:
- your name and email address, so we can send your receipt and download links
- your billing address, which our checkout asks for to process payment and keep proper sales records
- the details of your order: which books you bought, the price and the date
If you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
Your payment details
Card payments are handled securely by Stripe. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and is never seen or stored by us. Stripe’s own privacy policy explains how they protect it: stripe.com/au/privacy.
How we use your information
- to process your order and deliver your books
- to send your receipt and download links, and to re-send them if you ask
- to answer your questions and help with any download problems
- to keep the sales records Australian law requires
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We won’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask to join one.
Who else handles your information
A few trusted services help us run the shop. They only receive what they need to do their job:
- Stripe, to take payments
- Hostinger, which hosts our website and our email
- WooCommerce and WordPress, the software our shop runs on, which stores orders on our own website
Some of these services may store information outside Australia.
Cookies
Our website uses small files called cookies to keep your cart working while you shop, to keep the site secure, and to help Stripe prevent fraud at checkout. We don’t use cookies to show you advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for at least five years, because Australian tax law requires it. After that, we may delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything we’re not required to keep. Just email us and we’ll help.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
