Welcome to the Wonderful World of Meadowbrook
Stories with heart. Adventures with purpose.
I write picture books about the creatures of Meadowbrook. Each one is an adventure with a real-life lesson underneath, for children and the grown-ups who read with them.
Meet the author
Hi, I’m Wayne
For more than forty years I’ve worked as an educator, vocational trainer and community development worker, in classrooms, community colleges, correctional centres and outreach programs here in Australia and overseas.
Again and again I’ve seen that people learn best when it’s fun and connected to real life. Meadowbrook is my way of doing that for individuals: a worm on a bicycle, an ant with a jetpack, a ladybird who runs a bakery, and in every story something worth keeping.
Our promise
To everyone who opens a Meadowbrook book
- We will respect your imagination.
- We will never underestimate your courage.
- We will never laugh at your questions.
- We will fill every story with warmth, humour and hope.
- We will leave every adventure with light on the horizon.
- We will build a world you are always welcome to visit.
To every child, parent, grandparent, teacher and dreamer who finds their way to Meadowbrook: welcome. The gate will always remain open.
